Vineyards and wineries are an ever growing industry in Idaho and we don’t hear any complaints about it. What is better than enjoying the fresh spring air on the patio at a local winery?
The quality of the wine seems to attract a lot of attention. “Food and Wine” called the Snake River Valley AVA “America’s Must-Visit Wine Region”
According to the Idaho Wine Commission, there are 65 wineries in Idaho with over 1,300 acres of producing vineyards. Over 160,000 cases of wine are produced each year; that is a lot of glasses filled! We found beautiful region maps in their their 2021 Tour Brochure – it is definitely worth checking out.
Fortunately, many wineries have the space – particularly patio space – to seat wine tasters safely while adhering to covid protocol. If you are craving an outing, this might be an ideal time to relax, get some fresh air, and taste the fruit of our home state.
